Compassion Inspired Wellness Solutions™
Recovering from emotional loss and pain is not an easy task. However, this is where we do our best. IOIH's grief recovery programs help you navigate through loss and life changes. Our programs are evidence and practice-based methods which are effective and healing, easy to apply. We work compassionately with you to become grief-informed, help you move forward beyond your loss and experience growth and productivity in all areas of your life. We help you restore a life of joy, healing, freedom and connection beyond where you were before the loss. This is true for individuals and companies/organizations alike.
Grief Recovery is an on-going process. "Recovery" comes by learning to make a series of small positive changes in awareness, beliefs, attitudes and then our behavior but grief recovery first starts by being grief-informed. What is Grief and how does it affect our everyday living? Grief Recovery is about taking the correct actions that lead to recovery. This will require your willingness, attention, investment, courage and open-mindedness. If you take the steps outlined in IOIH's programs, you will experience incredible freedom with the ability to live with a new perspective, recognize triggers better and any false beliefs and can rebound quicker and not stay trapped in the pain of loss.
Unfortunately, we are not taught to think in terms of "our humanity" during a loss or unexpected change. Instead we dehumanize one another (even ourselves) with labels and judgements about how we "should" respond. "You need to move on", we are told or tell ourselves. We either think it is normal to do so or usually because of the societal norms and stigma we choose to "Be strong" or simply learn to get comfortable with the pain and pretend all is well and forge forward wounded.
Healing and feeling better starts today. Loss and pain no longer have to frame your present and future.
And if you have received support from counseling or therapy, we can continue to support your healing journey as a great compliment to therapeutical services, but more cost effective.

Our Core Values
WELL-BEING
Grief is a very healthy human emotion we experience when something that we are familiar with changes or ends. It is natural and normal to have an emotional response. However, when grief is left unattended it piles up. Grief is cumulative and cumulative negative. And anything emotional like a kettle with water boiling, the steam will come out one way or another. And COVID has exacerbated any grief or challenges we already had. We believe to be able to achieve wholesome living, we can not fragment self. We offer integrative wellness solutions that are cross-functional to include all aspects of a person - Body, Soul and Spirit. Wholesome well-BEING is our goal. OPEN-MINDNESS/FLEXIBILITY
If your faith is a source encouragement and strength, we applaud it and welcome it but even if this is not where you are at or what you believe in, this is a safe place to meet you where you are at. We do ask you have an open-mind for the Grief Recovery Method® and Spiritual Renewal PPE™ programs, whichever you choose (or both) that you will reach the other side of grief if you persevere and take each action required. No matter how much you believe you know or your expertise in science or the Bible, we ask that you give these methods a chance. If you do, we believe it will help you heal and grow to your optimal capacity. COURAGE-GROWTH
Each time you take small and correct steps, you will see growth. The great news is that both GRM, evidenced-based action program and Spiritual Renewal, practice-based are effective and work in a short period of time, just like an IV treatment to move you path forward from grief and loss to your optimal best. * (read more about this concept Under "new Beginning tab) Yet, taking every step forward will require great courage. While it will not be easy. It will be worth it. Growth and recovery is a spiral process. That is, you may feel you are not making much progress or "just going in circles" but stand firm! Be reassured that you are moving forward. Continue with great courage. Higinia will help facilitate in your growth but only you are the creator and leader of your growth. You will be amazed as you change your thinking, shift your beliefs, take the right actions and see your emotional pain and limiting beliefs begin to disappear.

COMPASSION
Compassion is the hallmark ingredient IOIH offers to healing. Compassion is showing sensitivity, empathy and care to those suffering and in need around us. Yet, compassion must first start with self to care for the wounds and pain of your heart then we can care for the wounds and pain of others. If we do not follow this order, we will experience Empathy-Fatigue (Empathic Distress) as Dr. J. Halifax, renowned Buddhist Teacher calls it rather than Compassion-Fatigue. Our hope is that we never lose the compassion for our humanity - the concern, kindness, positive emotions, connection to the plight of those hurting. CULTURE OF TRUST/INTEGRITY AND HONOR
The safety of this program and the safety of your recovery depends upon adherence to absolute confidentiality. Your privacy and confidentiality is our top priority. For these programs, trust is also built when we commit not to compare losses, analyze, criticize or make judgments or give unsolicited advice to self or others. When we grieve, we experience grief at 100%. Only you know how you feel. We will not tell you how you feel. Others opinions do not contribute to your well-being. We foster a climate that maximizes your individuality and dignity. We honor where you are at in your healing journey and ask you extend the same understanding and compassion towards fellow sojourners, and even those that haven't recognize they are grieving. TRUTH/AUTHENTICITY
To achieve emotional completion one must share the complete emotional truth, that is, total honesty. You will achieve healing to the degree you are completely honest and vulnerable about your emotional pain, not the details of your experience but the emotional pain of that experience. We do not "enshrine", that is, choose to only speak of the positive of an experience and we do not "bedevil" the experience, choosing only to speak of the negative. We speak the whole truth of a relationship or experience. Both positive and negative experiences are ingredients of any relationship or situation. And we do not use humor to cover up pain. ACCOUNTABILITY/STEWARDSHIP
You, your time and your investment matters. Successfully achieving recovery requires your commitment to put your health as a priority. We see this through your regular attendance, completion of hopework assignments, in-class participation and honoring program guidelines, especially if working in a group setting. While IOIH does not offer "intervention" services, that is, we do not make anyone take the programs we offer involuntarily or make you do your hopework, we are committed to seeing you experience this life-giving opportunity to overcome your emotional pain and begin to enjoy life fully now at your optimal best. And as mentioned throughout my website, recovery and health is an on-going journey. You commit to continue to grow, even after our time is completed. |
